1. If your starting you should refrain from packages. altough there cheap they often dont sound good. if you are serious about playing you should invest in some good equipment. you should get a sqier tele - 150 bucks and a epiphone valve junior amp - 150 bucks tuner and cables - 50 bucks the valve junior is a tube amp which is billions times better than a sloid state amp.
2. Avoid yamaha starter packs. The Ibanez guitars aren't so bad. However I would say that neither. I agree with the last person. Invest a little more if you are serious about learning. What will happen is that you will want to play louder and will want to hear a better sound out of your guitar. I was in need of a better guitar after a few months. And invested money on a much better guitar. Spend 200 - 350 on a guitar, and you could start with a practice mini amp. Squire and Epiphone are good guitars, if you get the pricier models.
